Colfax’s unique character comes in part from its abundance of ethnic restaurants. In the heart of East Colfax Avenue is Greek Town: the only official cultural town in Denver. Taki Dadiotis, a restaurant owner, was a big force in getting the six-block stretch of East Colfax Avenue from St. Paul St. to Elizabeth St. designated as Greek Town. The district includes an ice cream shop, a pastry shop and the other Greek restaurants.
