As one of Denver's Burlesque stars, Miss Orchid Mei takes her name from the Chinese Mei Lan hua, meaning beautiful orchid. Orchid started her career with the burlesque troupe, Ooh La La Presents, and has quickly risen through the ranks of ensemble performances to eventually perform as a solo act. Orchid has performed at the Modern Drunkard Convention in Denver, at Tease 'O Rama 2005 in San Francisco, at Vancouver’s Battle Royale burlesque competition, on tour with the Dresden Dolls, and received Westword magazine’s “Best Feminist Burlesque Show” award.

Gracefully combining traditional Chinese and Korean dance with influences from classic burlesque femme fatales, Orchid takes the stage doused in rhinestones and vintage glamour inspired costumes.
